think of it as a gun what hand do u pull the triger with most times it is similar... a right handed bow pulls back with the right hand and the bow handel is in the left.
It depends more on Eye Dominance, if your right or left handed but opposite eye dominant you’ll never achieve the shooting accuracy that you would like, Gun or Bow.
You may already know this and I don’t want to step on your toes or anything, but to find your dominant eye you can hold your arms out in front of you palms away from you, touch the tips of your thumbs together and the tips of your index fingers together, making a diamond.
Hold the diamond up and at arm’s length find something across the room on the wall the smaller the better and while holding your arms out fully extended with both eyes open look threw the diamond at your mark, slide your hands closer together making your diamond smaller to fit around the spot you’ve chosen .
Without moving your head or arms close you left eye then you’re right, which ever eye has your spot in the center of your diamond is you dominant eye.
That way you can start shooting with whichever side hand your dominant eye is on from the beginning.
That hand will be the one you will draw your bow with, and if you start shooting with that hand right or left handed you’ll never know the difference if that’s how you learn to shoot in the beginning.
As far as Bow selection go to a shop with a range and shoot them all, till you find yours! You can also get instruction from the shop on proper draw, hold, aiming, and release, most are real helpful.
If not start looking at the most expensive bows, if they think you’re going to drop a big chunk they will be more then helpful.
Don’t get talked into the most expensive bow. Whichever one you like and shoot the best is more important, but that just might be the most expensive one. Good Luck!
almost al bows are made w/ left & right hand so the choice is vast don't worry o you hold with your right and draw with your left.
