Homemade air mattress
Uploaded on December 04, 2009A quick way to make camping enjoyable is to make your own air mattress. Simply bring along a cheap inflatable plastic raft and blow it up. They run about 5 dollars for a pack of 3 "mattresses." Most rafts are the exact length of a sleeping bag and this is an easy way to make your camping/backpaking trip more enjoyable.

Now I feel old. When I started camping as a kid those"rafts" WERE air matresses, and the only air matresses. Looking back, its nice to see that outdoor gear has advanced along with my age.
