130 Grain Hornady for 308 and 30-06 best Deer Bullet!!!

Uploaded on March 19, 2009

For the 308 Win the Hornady 130 grain bullet with 53 grains of Win 748 @ 3100fps

And for the 30-06 58 grains of Win 748 @ 3300 I know for a fact is a darn good Mulie load for cross canyon shooting. Magnum performance with less kick!!

O'ya 300 Win Mag, 77 grains IMR4350 3500fps is a real screemer for 700 yard shots!

I'll still take a Nosler 165 Grain Accubond or Ballistic Tip. 63 grains of Reloader 22 will get you better than 3K in the '06. Better ballistic coefficient and better sectional density.

All depends on range. I shoot 30.06 180 grain nosler partition. Great out to 200 yards. After that they start losing more than the 165 boats and down. I prefer a little more shock and bullet retention. If off by an inch can mena world of difference. All depends on your shot ranges. My shots are usually 100 yards or less. Mostly less.

By the time that 130 grain bullet has gone 200 yards, it is moving slower than a 165 grain bullet.

Lighter bullets for higher velocity look good on paper at first, but if you start to do some reading about how bullets shed velocity, you quickly realize that heavy bullets with a higher ballistic coefficient are better for long range shots, even if they start out moving slower.

Guys shooting 1000 yards with an AR-15 will use 77 grain bullets, not 40 grain bullets, because the 77 grain bullet, although starting out slower, will actually stay supersonic out to 1000 yards.
