Has the chasing faise of the rut began in your hunting area?
Uploaded on October 27, 2009Has the chasing faise of the rut began in your hunting area? I live in southwest Michigan about half way between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. I experienced the first chasing action last night for the season. In the two hours before dark I saw several bucks chasing does, but had no luck drawing anything close enough to shoot. I mean no large bucks. This happened on October 26th. What a night to leave my grunt tube back in my truck.

Haven't seen any chasing yet in NJ
Where I am in Upstate NY, we haven't seen much movement at all. Hopefully this will be the weekend that they get in gear so we can see some movement!
hubs731 what part of upstate you in?? im in central north of binghamton. Chenango county. Pre rut has started here seeing scrapes rubs. seen 2 diff bucks chasing doe's. heard grunts heard my 1st snort-weeze. wild experience to hear. that was last Monday Afternoon around 315pm. By 330 i was on a blood trail. 430p he was hanging...
they're chasing in central Arkasas right now.
Lots of chasing in N. Minn. I shot a nice 9 pointer in full rut and on the prowl.
Chasing in Central WV
they've been chassing here in central ohio for a while now. one of the guys that hunts our property had one doe and two bucks jump over his bow and pack as he was climbing up into his stand...
I have seem some chasing in North Dakota, but mostly the little bucks at the moment probably big ones chasing now though.
Chasing "does" here in Ark as of 2 weeks ago !
In Iowa It shouldn't be here for another month but they might bimp the does a little but its still a little cool if you get the picture.
Your calendar must be in a parallel universe. It is July 19th for pete's sake! LOL
the question was posted back in late October; a time when chasing should be occuring in the northern states.
