You can make mock scrapes now to hopefully get area bucks interested inusing it. the dripper should be used a week or 2 before your season starts and agian on a scrape or mock scrape close to where you plan to hunt. I use doe pee as a cover scent/attractant by spraying on the bottom of my boots or a drag and walk into my stand. Then during the rut, I'll get more aggresive with scents, using esrous one my boots and maybe a scent wick hanging from a limb.

I usually sqirt a drop or two on the front and back of my boots, and a few drops on a wick around the stand. i never used the buck pee though. i have used a couple of tarsal glands from a buck that my friend killed. had small buck circle the tree i hung it from a couple times.

when it comes to using around stand, instead of using wicks, i take an old medicine bottle fill bout half with cotton balls, tape a clothespin on outside fill with whatever scent. it lasts for long time and you can just clip onto a branch take lid off and put back on when your done and cary it. but had some from last year put it out this year and had doe come put her nose right in bottle.
