Take Care All and good luck with the Hunts this year.

what are some of your plans and what do you do? are you in the outdoor business?
Hey from Ark. boys.
We just got back from Saskatchewan. We hunted with Reg at Elaine Lake Outfitters.
Are you strickly "buck" hunters or do you run bear hunts too?
Love the country up there. This was our third trip and I can't wait to go back next year.
JB
WHO ARE THE BUCK BOYZ?? We are two of Saskatchewan's small towners who grew up on the grasslands and in the trees. Both Jed and I have been hunting since we were about 10 years old. We are currently shooting some film for National Television and hope to have it to air later this year or first thing next year. We are two guys that just love to Hunt!! We are most comfortable outside and love where we live, the best hunting and fishing in the entire world. Pretty bold statement given the different places around the world, but we stand by it!! We are out to have great hunts, meet great people, swap stories, occasionally have a few pops and just really get it out there what hunting is all about. After all, it is "All About The Hunt" Check out the website if you like, buy something or dont, it's not about the money for us one bit, we just want to go hunting...And I hope we bump into some of you out there, Hunters are in fact the warmest and greatest people out there....I will tip one back for all the Hunters across the world tonight...Cheers everyone, Get Hunt'n!!
Best Regards,
JP, Buck Boyz
never heard of you guys you seem a little full of yourselves not a very good sign
anyone check out the sight? don't know whether or not to trust it im too afraid it would be a scam especially considering none of us have any idea who these people are
Say What????? Hey we are a small company trying to make it in this huge outdoor world, we are by no means full of ourselves, we are very humble thank you very much, the company is no scam, come up to Saskatchewan and check us out, we are sponsoring a Mud Fling in Sintaluta, Sask. this weekend, i encourage you to come up and meet us....we are two buddies who grew up together and have a great time outside and figured we would bring something to people that they may never experience in their lives, thats it thats all. The web site is very real and you can most certainly trust it, by making comments like that I would suggest to you that you might be our competition trying to make another person and their hard work look bad....If you dont have anything nice to say then dont say it, there are other message boards out there for that crap. Or if you wanna see how we handle things in small town Canada when someone calls another guy out by all means come on up and see us, be happy to show you. Till then, beat it! My apologies to everyone else out there that this ignorant a@# has to pop up out of nowhere and do this....We have a great fan base here in Saskatchewan and our neighbouring provinces and even down into North Dakota and Montana...We are real and we are trying our hardest to get it out there to everyone, so instead of throwing stones like this guy try helping a guy or guys out, we would certainly do the same for anyone else.

Before you go slinging mud on kids like 'mattreney', why don't you take your commercial website crap someplace else or pay F&S for some sidebar advertisement?
And mattreney was right. Your last post proves that you are a bit full of yourself. Calling someone "out"? You guys are 'Out' of your closet no doubt. Take your own advice and beat it or sit home and watch Red Green, Eh?
Sounds like a couple of hosers to me....
lol point proven if you have all those fans go talk to them
and thanks cj
and you idiots are full of yourself and your more pethetic then we thought if your compitition a a 15 year old
Given how hard I have worked over the last year and how much I care about what I am doing I don't take people hitting me below the belt very kindly. My family and I have paid our dues to make this work, I dont care if anyone buys a shirt...I dont care about the money....I have given far more money to worthy charity's than I have made. I am doing what I can to make people aware of who we are....All it takes is for a couple of guys like yourself to ruin it for everyon else, we arent the best hunters in the world and never will be, we are guys just like everyone else on this message board, thats the point, we are just two guys who love to hunt. We film our hunts now because you cant find anything on tv anymore that is fair chase or hunting the wild...you just cant....we hunt no different than we did 20 years ago, the only difference is the camera we carry....if you think it's easy to film a hunt try it sometime....it's a lot of work and our hats go off to those who do it on a full time basis....I dont feel as though I should even defend myself against you guys, the people who know us and meet us know what we are all about and thats all that matters, so I will say it again, keep your negative comments to yourself. We are both fathers first, husbands second, friends third, and then hunters, just like most people out there....somewhere near the bottom we have to make a living and that is where Buck Boyz comes in. I would never take a shot at your charicter or what you do for a living, I hunt for a living so you are essentially taking a shot at people who hunt, not nice man. Everyone knows where we are, and we always have cold beer available so please come on up and visit, have a beer and get to know what were all about before making absent minded accusations about people you know nothing about.
You guys are 15????? Hahahaha.....you little buggers, I thought you were a lot older than that.....never mind then, when you are old enough to know what hunting and work and beer are all about then you can start tossing words around, till then go get a job and quit stirring things up on here, I have had a long enough week already without this crap....take care you guys!
I'm not 15 and I think YOU are the ones being childish. If you are what you purport to be, then why did you attack 'mattreney' first after he made a perhaps immature comment re: your website might be suspect?
If you are trying to run a commercial enterprise, you better learn respond to the public with positive dialog explaining what you do and why you do it, or not respond at all (unless you are in the WWF). You obviously need to learn how to take a little crap if you are going to deal with the public. I bet Michael Waddell, Will Primos, Jackie Bushman, and the other successful hunting TV hosts/producers don't respond in that manner to any crackpot emails on their website.
Good luck in your enterprise.
Best regards
Should be "learn to respond to the public" etc. Sorry
i didnt mean anything against them i was just a little mad that they came on like they were better then us and were giving us the privilage to talk to them. but noone heard of these guys so i wanted to check out the sight i didnt know if it was a scam or not and im not screwing up my computer so i was wondering if anyone checked it out. for all i know you could be telling the truth and be pretty cool guys but im not apoligizing for what i said i meant every word of it. thanks for all your comments you seem to be unbyist so i appreciate it sorry if you felt my comments were childish
and i wasnt taking shots at you "job" i would do anything to make a living doing what i love im happy for you if you can
sounds like you have one of those lucky jobs where there is no time clock and no slow miserable days waiting for 5:00 to come along you guys seem to have it good
mattreney
I did not mean your comments were childish. I thoght it was a bit immature to start calling them names (idiots) in your post quote: "and you idiots are full of yourself and your more pethetic then we thought if your compitition a a 15 year old".
The Boyz attacks were childish...in my opinion.
Best regards
Thanks you guys, we dont try to come off as being arrogant or anything really, I am a full time Police Officer and X army guy to so that sometimes may come out a little, we are good guys and we are all about the hunt as our logo reads....this is a company that I have worked very hard to build and my family and freinds have been kind enough to help me get the name out there, without getting the name out there it will be nothing, and I am afraid of that happening....I am building this up to show my son how it goes and to have somehting to hand off to him when he is old enough.....I Love Hunting, it is my life, it what I earn a low salary for really stressful work for....I may have over reacted and to my defense I really thought it may have been somebody out there trying to impress upon people an image of the company that I really dont want, that nobody would want, it does happen....You guys, I am going to have a cold one, for you and for everyone else out there who truly is a hunter through and through, that is what I am about, I am a nobody in the commercial world, I would like to be somebody and some day it might happen but I really have to rely on those out there to help take me there, it's a very tough road to travel down....take care you guys and cheers!!

Work hard, be an innovator, be persistent and we all hope you succeed!
Thank You.
BuckyBoyz,
Do you hunt public or private land? Just saw your comment about fair chase, and agree 100% that tv shows these days are a crock of $hit, but there all I got so cant complain I guess until I try and start filming my own hunts.
Being that I am interested in filming hunts, if you dont mind, can you explain how you go about the filming, two people of file your own, and also what kind of land your hunting, public private and so on, also how much time you spend scouting.
Thanks
Hey MB915, we hunt both private and public lands here in Saskatchewan...the majority of our deer population in the south likes to hang out where there is good mixture of farm land and bush...It could take a whole day just to hunt a section of land around here due to the terrain....We aren't allowed to have "game ranches" per say, not that I don't agree with them, we just aren't accustomed to hunting them...everything we hunt is fair chase and "wild"...We film on a switch off basis, where one guy will be on the gun and the other on the camera...We primarly hunt with just the two of us but we do hunt with others as well on occasion, depending on where we are.....When we head up north we like to have someone with us who knows about the area. Most, if not all our forest (Also called Crown Land) is public land and anyone (Who is a Resident) can hunt on it. Most of the people around this area are very hunter friendly and will allow you to hunt on their land also, some welcome us hunters when we knock on the door and ask permission, just because the deer and elk populations can be so high in some areas and really have a negative effect on agriculture. We spend just about all the time we are not hunting on scouting or whenever time allows, it's tough sometimes having a full time career and a family and a business to run to find the time but we do put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into mapping, scouting, trail cams and the prep work involved in setting up blinds or digging goose pits or putting out barrels and making contacts. We also like to speak with some of the people in the communities and ask them if they know of anyone having difficulties with animals ruining crops, if we can harvest a nice animal and help one of our local farmers out then everyone wins and there is a good chance you will be invited back again next year. I hope this answered your questions, if not please let me know and I will do my best to find the answers for ya.
Best Regards,
JP Buck Boyz
wow nice two good jobs i always wanted to be a police officer maybe work in one of the scum holes we have around here. everythings going down hill which realy sucks because all the neihborhoods its happening to still has some good people in it now their all filled with drugs and wanna bes might even try to get a job in my hometown its also going downhill and we are surrounded by cities so our highschool is filled with the city people who like to start trouble (not to say for all some of my best friends are from the worst cities we got)
Thats too bad Matt, I think it is getting worse and worse all over the place, here is no exception and it will likely get worse before it gets better......Being a cop is awesome Matt, I cant describe it any better than that...I strongly encourage you to give a try in a few years, you wont regret it one bit....it can be a lot of work and unwanted stress for little pay, but I wouldn't give it up for the world....and it puts a few dollars in my pocket so I can go hunting which is also a great perk...I hope things turn around in your cities down there, ours to, I know many Police Officers from the United States and it seems that no matter where you go in the world we are all brothers and sisters, its a feeling like no other and I hope you do get the chance to experience that Matt...Take Care.
JP Buck Boyz
thanks jp im actually getting extremely lucky and getting to get a little taste of it. ever here or police explorers? it seems dorky but its actually pretty cool we get together once a week at the PD and recieve training we go through all kinds of sinarios you know like demestic unknown calls and then some different traffic stops with all kinds of twists whether they be car comes up stolen or its a wanted driver or just a normal person going a little to fast. im going to a police explorer academy next week (i leave not this sunday but next i think its the 26th) i guess theres tons of senarios there but mostly phisical training all day everyday because its my first year sounds fun though we also attend a lot of town functions that shut down streets and we get a chance to do a lot of traffic which i like luckily because all the police (officers sgts ect) ive ever worked with say thats pretty much a huge portion of your job around here. is it the same there?
-matt reney
A lot of the job does involve traffic related offences or calls for service...And sometimes they are the most unpredictable situations one can be in...I have, on a few occasions, been in some very intense situations, to the point where I thought I may have to take a life, which all officers dread of having to do in their entire career, so they can be very dangerous. A good mind set to have when dealing with people, regardless of what walk of life they come from, is to remain proffesional and respective at all times and treat everyone the same....the human being is the most unpredictable creature on the planet, so if you keep a guard about yourself at all times but also have the ability to be empathetic and sympathetic you will do just fine. Common sense goes a long way and you do learn how to develope that "extra sense" after a while. Time and place for everything as they say. Your every minute on the job can go from 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye and then back down to 0 again, depending on the outcome of a particular situation, the etreme highs and lows of adrenaline and emotion can certainly take its toll on a person....it is a very demanding job both physically and mentally, but it is the odd time that you can save a life or end a potentially life threatening situation peacefuly or if you are lucky enough to hear the words "Thank You", that makes you want to do it all over again the next day. If you want to be a cop bad enough Matt it will happen and I am sure that your respective departement will help you prepare for that day when you do "Hit the Streets". The best thing about the job, hands down, are the people you work with and meeting other cops from all over the world, were cut from the same cloth and it really is an honor to be a part of that. Stick with it though man, being a cop is a very rewarding career...Take Care!
yeah it sounds like a realy good job can be dangerous though my dads a cop a few towns over he was sent to the hospital a few times from injuries he got in fights hes usually back to work the next day and doesnt look back he loves what he does he was in a fight and messed up his shoulder musscle pretty bad and he was only mad that they made him take like a week off and go to phisical therapy for 6 months your definatly right about being respectful and trying to end things peacfuly. he always says as important it is to have a sidearm and get used to it so you can draw and shoot quickly and effectively but he said you can almost always prevent pulling the trigger if you remain calm and act like whats going on isnt a big deal even if it is he said if you remain calm and talk the "suspect" or whoever else it might be you can get them in handcuffs and everyone goes home saftely or for the cops back to their shift
Your Dad is a smart man, no doubt about that, having what we call "The Gift of the Gab" is a very useful tool when being a POlice Officer, if you are good with you mouth and mind you can most certainly end most situations by simply talking to people...again though time and place for everything, still gotta keep that guard up though, you jsut never know these days who is who and what their true intentions really are....scary place we live in these days...I am glad I hunt and spend so much time outdoors, it helps keep things in perspective and lets me know how much more there is to life than just "Bad Stuff." I'm a pretty lucky guy when I do think about it, have a good career, great family, great friends and I still find the time to do what I love...I guess that is the main reason why I am a cop, it's to help keep things the way they are so me and others can enjoy the things in life that really matter...You seem like a good kid Matt and I hope that you do get to become what you want down the road and if it is a cop that you want to be, then the best of luck to you man, you won't regret it one bit.
