For the gills, anything that looks like food ... dry fly, wet fly, or nymph. I've had them hit full size Hula Poppers so I think they will try to eat anything. For crappie, tiny streamers that look like minnows.

My most productive blue gill fly has been the little cork spider. Let it float on the surface and occassionally twitch it to make a few ripples. It won't sit there long if there are blue gills around.

If they are feeding on the surface, just about anything will work. I was out one day with a small collection of poppers to try, but I still had a cahill fly on. So I tried it. Caught bluegills and pumpkinseed all afternoon. Never got to the poppers.

My favorite for crappie is a small white maribou streamer. For gills,a foam spider.I've had success for all types of panfish on all kinds of flies. My best wetfly under all conditions is a grey hackle peacock,Size 12.

The only thing I can add to the above good answers is to try a black gnat for bream.
