Musky fishing in WV is great. Check out some places to go, near the Tygart or the Monongahela. Use a large Rapala Husky Jerk, and some 15-20 pound test, trolling near shallow pools no deeper than 15 feet. If you're unsure of how to fish, pick up a book and do some reasearch. Musky fishing is complex, and dangerous for the fisherman.

15 or 20lb test. Try throwing large spinners around weed edges and some large top water plugs. Don't forget a steel leader.

In WI we use 20 pound and up. I use 30 pound. Big bucktails, top water plugs. Yes and a leader. Depth ranges. Caught them in over 20 feet of water before. Deep divers then. Mostly shallower though. Fish of a thousand casts.

20 lbs. test with a leader at the end and a nice stiff rod that's still has enough bend to it for figure eighting and bending.
