Mine is when somebody uses my lures without asking.

Mine is when people zoom across the lake on speed boats, jetskis or pontoons and make giant waves when me and my buddies are trying to fish
Someone who acts like they now everthing about it but dont know crap
i agree with peter, and no one EVER uses my stuff.
I cant stand it when people loose my lures, especially my favorite ones. It's also annoying when my son or daughter hooks my ear on a cast.
I hate when people leave crap on the stream banks. Monofilament, sixpack containers, cigarette trash, etc.
I will let people use my lures because I usually take either young, old, or people that don't go much. But I hate dodging hooks. If someone is dangerous they don't go back with me.
I hate when someone crowds me when i'm fishing. Whether i know them or not. I'm not that great people! gimme some space!
BBD19, My dad used to try to convince my mom to go fishing with us all of the time. She was always quite reluctant to go, but I remember one instance he did manage to drag her out with us. My younger sister needed someone to cast for her, but me and my dad were both reeling in fish, so my mom offered to do it. I remember hearing my mom say "This one's going over the moon!" and then hearing monofilament snap. I heard my dad yell and looked over to see a marabou jig sticking out of his cheek. He was not a happy camper. The first thing my mom said was "Hunting next saturday?" My mom has not gone fishing with us since.
I agree with huntandtrap09. Also when people come up next to you and start fishing.
You guys gave great examples, but I'll tell ya what has pissed me off more than once. I've had guys come up to me and ask if they could look in my tackle box. I ask why, and they say they're looking for old lures. I will not print here my response to those ignorant backwater uneducated SOB's. But they left quick, not touching my tackle box!
When I take people out in the boat and they leave once we get done for the day without taking their trash.
What I REALLY hate is when I'm fishing in a cove and someone cuts in front of me and starts fishing a couple boat lengths away.
I hate it when people don't watch who's around them when they cast and you hear the lure wizzin by your head.
When the Mexicans cast over my line, litter, keep illegal fish,don't have a license, and try to push me out of spots. My second would be when people take my gear without asking me first.
Mine is when people say they know how to fish and do not. Once my friend went with my dad and I, my dad said do you know how to cast? He said yup next thing you know his first cast was up on the bridge. If you do not know then just ask!

Some people seem to have a getting snagged all the time curse.
mine is crowding. there might be 25 miles of river but but the orvis and loomis supermodels feel they MUST fish the same 30 yards of river i'm fishing.
I can't stand when people litter the river banks, but know-it-alls and people using my gear without asking also annoys me. I also can't stand crowded fishing spots, I don't go out there to socialize.
I agree with Buckeye, litter is a pain in the @$$ along with the inconsiderate jerks who leave it on the bank or throw it in the water.
Yes, litter is the worst especially those people who look back at their litter as they leave.

I too hate the litter bugs, I have patiance to help people to fish I have a 5 and 2 year old so I have alot, BUT THE ONE THING I HATE IS WHEN YOU HAVE FOUND THE FISH AND EVERYBODY AND THERE BROTHER COME TO YOU AND START CASTING IN THE SAME SPOT OR ASK WHAT YOUR USEING. I meen come on its not like all the fish in the lake are in this one spot you know.
The biggest pet peeve I have about fishing is when common courtesy is not observed.
Whether it be someone running across your lines even though you let them know where the lines were or the fact that they would come into your area and start casting over you your lines and disturbing your trip.
well my biggest pet peeve when fishing has got to be either someone fishing right on top of me and catching the monster fish or the litter bugs who repeatedly dont pick up after themselves i dont want to be reeling in trash bags or whatever all day long instead of fish
If you can pack it in,you can pack it out.
When people post a fish and then lie about the length and weight..i see that alot on here..and i agree with most of your other peeves
When people complain about fishing. If you're fishing there is nothing to complain about.

When some distraction occures just when I need to be focused on setting the hook or giving an extra twitch. Or when you try to talk to some of the other guys and they act like they are keeping some secret. Like they have some fantastic technique that no one else knows about. Totally agreed about the litter bugs. When people move in on my spot I can't really get mad because if they start catching more than I, I need to find out how.
I hate when someone comes and tries to crowd you and get all next to you asking what your using where your throwing and how deep your fishing and all that crap. I also hate it when someone is at the river with their kids and the kids come over and start messing with your stuff. I lost about 100 dollars worth of gear because some stupid kid dumped my tackle box out. I told their mom but she didnt care. Its stuff like that just really pisses me off.
