Fall fishing is great that is when they really put on the feed bag. For walleyes I would go at dawn or at night. Good luck.

Purchase the latest F&S magazine. There is an article in there with a few different techniques to try.

shhhh, don't let the secret out. Walleye fishing is terrible in the fall and should never be attempted under any circumstances, especially not in northern wisconsin. ;)

Ha I have had great luck in the fall, and the best time to go is whenever you have time. I have probably caught more walleyes from 10:30-1 than any other times of the day. As the weedbeds die look for walleyes to be on rock humps; catch them with a standard jig and minnow or a gulp! minnow.

Walleyes are good all year round. I have caught more through a hole in the ice than at any other time. They always like minnows and check out the deepest holes you can find unless the wind is really blowing, then fish the muddy water along the shore line. They can hunt more effectively than any other fish in the cloudy/muddy water and may be there hunting the little fish that hide out there.

Listen to Lukem. The best time to go is when you can.You don't mention what type of water or geographical location where you're fishing.I fish rivers for walleyes where I live. That's the only optionin the fall.I use leeches or large shiners on 1 pole, and Rattlin' Rogues on the other, and I fish mostly at night.I catch them during the day too.

Fall is my favorite time to go because it's your best chance to catch a monster! The later in fall it gets the bigger bait I use. I wade at dark on the lakes nearest my home and I use rapala countdowns, original floaters, or husky jerks.
