There is a very simple/easy thing to do when you are trying a new beach. Just get one of those spoons with the hook built onto the body, then take a chunk of fish (the smellier, the better). Then you might want to put a bobber a bout a foot from the spoon. Cast and reel in, this will catch you almost anything that is swimming by.
