I've caught countless stripers in my life but never a really big one. Caught a few 25 pounders but most were in the 10-15 pound range. great eating.

Buddy of mine caught one last winter off the Va. Beach coast that was approx. 35#. I understand the current state record is somewhere around 75#. The bulk of our catch was in the 15-25# range. Great on the grill, throw in some venison loins and it's the best surf and turf around.
