I think the house to house search for weapons has begun. I came across this in the local rag.

Jeez, you would think a police offiscer would at leasst have a better excuse then i forgot to lock the doors and then going to Mexico the next day. And he didnt even file a report. Wouldnt you think he woudl kinda be flagged after he bought a "few" military style rifles. Most have to save up to buy a single 8-900 dollar hunting rifle, then to buy a few 1,500 and up dollar guns all at once shoulda kinda thrown up a warning.
Did you notice that they were knocking on doors and investigating how someone could buy 4 pistols and live in a cheap house? Or how about the minister who lived in a nice house that bought two guns for target practice?
The police officer is a red herring to throw you off how wrong this is.
door to door would be bad in my home town i just dont think they have the man power to do it . after the frist 20 or so would be killed i belive they would reconsider trying it in usa gun owners out number the others that would do away with the 2nd amendment i my self will not give up my guns they will have to take them with force i hope that our goverment would not let it go that far . but these days nothing should be over looked it could happen

I posted a comment about this in one of the recent Gun Nut blogs. The Houston Barnacle is so far left, it should be banished to the former USSR. What this is all about is the Feds response to the recent MSM and administration claims that ninety per cent of the weapons seized in Mexico are from the US. This statistic has
been exposed by several sources as a blatant lie, but hey, never let the truth get in the way when the MSM and the BATF are involved, right? The gist of the thing is, the Mexican government is cherry-picking weapons to send to the BATF for tracing, but that is only a small portion of the total weapons seized. No US citizen has any obligation to answer questions about a legal gun purchase, or show said weapons to any government without a warrant issued for reasonable suspicion of a crime. The BATF was after publicity, and the Houston Barnacle was only too happy to oblige. No house to house, yet, but with the current administration in power, anything is possible. Keep your powder dry, and your arms close.

Sad to say, you may be right.
They will get the ammo first if they come to get mine.
If it were me, I wouldnt really care if I lived in a 10,000 dollar house as long as I could afford all the guns and hunting trips I want!
