I'm gettin' ready to load up on venison this week end. I've let a lot of deer walk as the bucks have been more active this year, as we had early cool weather this year.
Still huntin' the MONSTER!
Got a "fat/meat" doe during M/L season. I've had to let several others 3 bucks/ 1 doe go because of "no shot".
Im gonna start hitting the woods hard now that the rut is kicked in..I've been out 4 or 5 times so far and didnt see much..hopefully something will come across my path eventually. I really want to get my first bow kill!
Haven't got anything yet. But half of the places I hunt I have to wait for the owner or members of his family to hunt during rifle. Then its time to hit it hard.
I got a doe in the early season would still like another steaks deer and another sausage deer.
(a big boy would be nice.)
here in wisconsin, the rut has kicked in a substancial amount. they have started to chase some does I just saw one of the biggest bucks in my life crusing a doe about 80 yrds from me. if that don't get you nerves on edge nothing will...
