Q:
Ok so im getting really close to buying my new bow. I was looking at the PSE bow madness or the pse x force. both are nice but the x force is much faster. i will shoot both first but still want to know what you think. the only complaint ive heard from the x force is if you creep just a bit the bow wants to go. could that cause a problem with misfires? thanks

My personal opinion would be to go with th PSE bow madness. What i like about it is that you can get the xs bow and it is short and has 80% letoff but still shoots with a fast speed. Anything that has over a 300 fps rating and is quite will kill a deer. I hunted with a Hoyt rintec until i outgrowen it and it was only pulling 45 pounds and i no the fps were not fast at all maybe 250. But it was quiete and that made it fast enough. I shot at a turkey 40 yards with it and it got there without the turkeys even moving.
The X force is an over the top speed machine. It sacrifices a lot just to get that hot IBO selling point.
You would be better served with a bow that is forgiving, accurate and quiet. Fast bows are usually less accurate and more noisey. Give single cam bows a hard look. I have taken 9 deer now in the last 3 seasons (counting the current one) with my Mathews Switchback XT. It shoots 400 grain hunting arrows a very quiet, accurate 262 feet per second. A deer can jump out of the way of even the fastest arrow there is if it hears the shot.
Today I called in a nice big Kansas 9 pt whitetail and decided not to shoot. He was about the same size as the 135 inch 10 pt I got last year. Called him into 20 yd with Madd buck growler.
i just bought the bow madness xs last week. I can't be happier. It has a longer brace height than the x force so it is much more forgiving to shoot. It is very short, and easy to carry in the woods.
Also, it may not be as fast as the x force... but it is fast! With only a couple days practice i am able to hit some very small spots at 40-45 yards.
its also way cheaper...
If you've got the money for an X-Force, get a new Mathews or Hoyt. I would recommend the Mathews Hyperlite (I have one and it is smooth, forgiving and fast) or DXT (would have been my 2nd choice); or Hoyt AlphaMax32 or Maxxis 31. If I were you and had to choose between the BowMadness or the X-Force, I would pick the BowMadness.
