Question by Trevor Arentz. Uploaded on January 06, 2010
i personally thing martin is the best but the answer to your question is yes
i shoot mission eliminator i love it, it is a great bow.
I have a PSE Patriot and have had it for several years now. love it.
That's like asking Ford or Chevy - bound to start an argument! I shoot a Hoyt and love it, but have heard good things about both bow brands you mention. Personal opinion is to get a handful you think you might like in your price range, go to an archery shop that carries them and shoot them. That is how I came up with my current bow over other brands, but every person is different.
no or yes its all op all companys make a few bad bows and good ones try them out what works for me may not fit your needs at all
You've been talking to my son, haven't you? I bought a new Mission X3 last summer and shortly afterwards he bought a new PSE Bow Madness. We then argued PSE vs. Mission the rest of the summer (in fun, of course). Find what works best for you, don't get hung up on brand names until you know. I like my Mission a lot, but he shoots his PSE very well too. Good hunting.
i think mission offers more goods and pse is a speed freak also the mission is the poor mans mattews
Mathews is the Cadillac of bow brands. Mission is made by the same folks just not quite as fancy. One other thing PSE's are mass produced with lots of adjustments so they can be made to fit everyone (samo, samo Hoyt, PSE, etc, etc) and sold over the counter in large stores. I looked at their best bow model at Cabelas a couple years ago and it does not have fit and finish equal to Mathews. You can only get a new Mathews from a pro shop. That is because they measure you and build the bow to fit YOU not everyone else. In the last 45 years I have owned and shot PSE (twice), Hoyt, Browning, Bear and York boys. None of them would touch a Mathews. Ask anyone that has one. I just ordered my second one the new J-7.
Testing multiple bows is most likely the best thing to do. I have the Mission Maniac. Before it I had a PSE. Both are great bows, but you will find there is always one out there that will fit you like a glove and be perfect for you.
I shoot the Mission Eliminator, which won "Great Buy" award from Field & Stream AND Outdoor Life. So to answer your question, YES.
