mathews or bear bows. bear has been in the competition for years and they know what they are doing.
I like PSE. They are excellent bows and have a wide range of pricess. The Nova wich is a good beginner bow starts at around $250 all set up. They also have one of the fastest hunting bows you can find the PSE X Force Omen $950 (F&S page 85 November issue 2009)
Matthews, hoyt, pse are all good bows. My first bow was a browning micro adrenaline and I loved it.
Mathews all the way. Although I did used to shoot a pse and they were good quality as well. but I love my mathews

martin or matthews
The best bow is the one you shoot the best! You have to have confidence in what you are shooting! Go to a sporting goods store where you can try out several bows. After doing so, purchase the bow that you think will be the best one for you.
