This here is a forty four magnum, the most powerful hand gun in the world, it can blow your head clean off, and in all of this commotion i can't remember whether I fired five bullets or six. So tell me, do ya feel lucky punk, well do ya? That's mine, classic Eastwood
My favorite Dirty Harry quote is "I know what your thinking did he fire 6 shots or only five. Well to tell the truth I lost count myself in all of the excitement.
But being this is a 44 magnum the most powerful handgun in the world and can blow your head CLEAN off. You gotta ask yourself a question. Do I feel lucky? Well do ya PUNK.
dirt harry best eastwood movie ever in my opinion
I liked the line in Dirty Harry where someone told him that many considered him a hero and he curled his lip and said, "Opinions vary!"
I have to agree with Logan, that is his best quote!
"A man's gotta know his limitations."
One of my all-time favorites is Slim Pickens in 'Blazing Saddles'. This is THE one. Edited of course:
"What in the wide, wide world of sports is a going on here? I hired you people to try to get a little track laid, not to jump around like a bunch of Kansas City *******!"
There are also many more quotes in Gran Torino.
Dirty Harry isn't the only one who lost count of how many shots he fired at that bankrobber. The film editor lost count also, and left a couple of shots on the cutting room floor.
As often as I watch the replay of that scene, I can only count four shots fired by Dirty Harry. The fifth shot should have blown that punk's head "CLEAN OFF".
Unforgiven when he said "well he should've armed himself." I'm glad sgaredneck threw in some blazing saddles. One of my all time favorites. "What'd he say? 'He said the sherriff is NEAR!" ha.
"Bond, James Bond", of course, and Rooster Cogburn's diaglogue with Lucky Ned Pepper and company in True Grit just before he took the reins in his mouth and cleaned house. "Fill your hand!" Long live the Duke!
And then there's, "Frankly, My Dear, I don't give a ..."
Unforgiven:
"Don't go cuttin' up no hoes!"
Easy Rider:
"Look like a couple of Yankee Qu**rs."
Deliverance:
"Squeal, Boy!"
GWTW:
"Lawsy, Miss Scarlett, I don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' no babies."
