Is there a good way to go about hunting for foxes ive run into a few in the woods with my bow over the years... Ive also noticed a few more than usual wandering the edge of the road on they way home... Can you hunt them with predator calls?

I don't know about predator calls but from what you're saying about running into them a relatively close shot with a bow should be good. If you want a rifle shot .223 would be my top choice. Both of these assume you have the proper licensing- if that's true best of luck.

Foxes in the Southeast will respond rather quickly to distress calls of rabbits or other rodents. I have used a mouth call for years to call in foxes and coyotes.

Ya sure you can. You can buy a fake rabbit sort of looking thing that looks like a rabbit that should lure them in. Then like anjadams said they might resond to a rabbit distress call.

If they're in season and you want to get a shot off with your bow, try sucking on the back of your hand to make sqeeking noises...sometimes that brings them running in and you may get a shot.

That's why they make predetor calls. Foxes come right in after a sqealing cottontail in distress. They are smart though so you need to pay attention to scent and movement in order to be successful.

I hunt them the about the same way I hunt coyotes.I ussually use rabbit distress calls
