For a few years until it rotted out, I had an old OK-class racing dinghy. Built by Lars at the London shipyards, it was the "Daggerfish".

"WET DREAM" is popular where I fish. I have not named my current bass boat but the boat I had in high school (28 yrs ago) was named "HAWG HUNTER"

The name came from an article in F&S of the same name.

Most are probably towed by the jacked up, diesel powered, big mudder tired, 3/4 tons with brush guards sporting the little sack hanging off the trailer hitch.

Sorry about your penis, dude.

My first boat was named, "Madman Across The Water!"
It was off of an early Elton John album ... and painted the same color as the album cover.

Now ..."Wet Asset!"

I used to have a little 30 year old tri hull that I'd bought from a buddy who had painted it mud brown and called it Night Crawler. I did some repair work on it and repainted it blood red. New name....Blood Worm.

My 14ft jonboat is named "Amazing Grace"

I live near the fountain boats manufacturing plant and saw a boat named "Extension" leaving the plant. I can only guess what at what it means.

My personal favorite is "Out on a Bid" owned by a buddy of mine. My grandpa who built his own sailboats was partial to "The Walloping Window Blind" after the popular sea chanty of the same name. My boat, a scraped and dented 14 foot aluminum skiff is named "The Nutmeg of Consolation" in honor of Mr. Patrick O'Brian who authored one of the best serial sea stories every written.

My buddies and I are building out yet another boat right now. Her name is the "Kantaforder"

My brother thought of the name. Im impressed at the creativity and the fact that i had never heard it before.

Another runner-up name for the boat was "Endo" because its a 15 ft aluminum boat with a 70 HP engine, so we are figuring it will do an endo at some point in its life.

If I ever own a boat I will name her Arcadia, or Arcadia of My Youth, like in the famous Captain Harlock anime series. Would fit best in a sail boat.

Not mine, but a buddy had his boat named The Phone. This way if anyone ever called his office his assistant just said he was on the phone and would have to call you later.

Wife used to be upset with me for buying a 1968 Evinrude that wasn't quite as seaworthy as my "buddy" represented it to be. So I call it The S.S. Eyesore. Now she wants me to get it running.

The name of my boat is 'RatSnake'. A friend gave it to me. It is a 1958, alumimum V hull Lone Star. It was in his back yard in a rural area and was full of misc junk. As we pulled the last piece of plywood from the bottom of the boat, a 4 foot Texas Rat Snake looked up at us.
