Idaho Grizzly Bites Black-Bear Hunter
From The Spokesman-Review:
An eastern Idaho bear hunter was bitten by a grizzly Sunday when his hounds surrounded a female with cubs.
The bear knocked over Keith Klingler, bit him on the arm and tossed him around. The 38-year-old Idaho Falls man was taken to Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, where he was treated for lacerations, Idaho Fish and Game officials said.

Comes down to "watching what you wish for" I guess.
Glad he's o.k. though.
This area has a very high population of grizz, not my fist choice for runnin dogs but it's very produtive for black bear. This area is also geting a good whittail herd and is the area I'm goin to hunt this fall but with my 375 HH. The F@G are also still looking for the sow because the guys brother thinks he hit when he shot so not only do we have a agressive sow but a potentialy wounded and more dangeruos bear. GREAT.
at least he didnt get ripped to shreds, hes lucky

He's lucky to be alive... grizzly mom with cubs is usually hostile already, throw in some barking dogs and a human, usually the result is a lot worse than a bite on the arm.
OUCH!!!
Can't wait until we have more Grizzlies around the state, it makes all the other outdoor pursuits so much more enjoyable when you have the chance of being eatin by a thousand pound bear....plenty of grizz up north and in the Parks, there was a reason the old timers thinned them out of the other areas....Human safety used to be the primary concern, I guess the value of a human life has decreased in the last 1/4 century.....of course this was the black bear hunters fault, he should have stayed home and left nature alone, or just taken pictures from the pavement while wearing his bear bell and pepper spray....
this attack is the third grizzly attack from that area this year!!
so why exactly didn't he shoot it?
his brother did. and they still cant find it.
