Adirondack Fall Fishing Slide Show

October 02, 2009

Adirondack Fall Fishing Slide Show

Last week I had the pleasure of spending my vacation time with my wife's family in the Adirondack Mountains of up state New York where her family has a camp. The entire area is steeped in the tradition of fishing and hunting and signs of it are literally everywhere.

While we all fished quite a bit, there were no trophies caught and not a lot of "serious" hours put in on the water. We did wrestle up some... gorgeous natives, played some games by the fire, rowed boats around the lake, and just generally relaxed.

Enjoy the slide show.

I spy a trophy in photo #1.

Once again great pics. Your photos are comforting which is what I need for my DU banquet hangover I'm nursing today.

I think one of those T-rods might have worked well on that small stream. I'll get you guys to the dark side sooner or later.

Yes, it does. Kills me to see and feels great all at once. Looks like home. Because it was. Here I am in Ohio. At least we have monster bucks. We sure don't have brookies.

Super nice album. That stream looks like my home VA targets for the next couple of months. I wish I could capture it as well as you.

I love the slideshow Tim! Ahh, that's home for me. I grew up in Central NY and spent a lot of time in the western Adirondacks. Glenn and I are flying back east on Saturday to southern NH and Central NY to visit our families. I hope we can still catch some fall colors, but I hear they are going fast. Thanks for the pics to get me excited.

Steven9253,

Using a Nikon d700. Photo nerd? I would hope you're looking at what's going on in the pics. That's what it's all about. Thanks for the kind words.

Have fun back there. Should be gorgeous.
