I am glad to see him get caught....it is always fun to listen to a guilty criminal rationalize their situation/intentions :)

He should have to make restitution for the other cameras he has stolen. Last time I looked in the Cabela's catalog, I observed that those cameras can be expensive.
I noticed some of the comments following the article suggested he took the cameras to support a drug habit. I wonder if anyone considered the possibility he is an animal rights activist? If he is, they can add the charge "interfering with a legal hunt" to his criminal charges. Most states now have laws preventing animal rights people interfering with a hunt.

I am glad to see that guy get caught. Trail Cameras can be very expensive and i recently had one taken off my tree. My cousin watched him go into the trees where we hunt and he called me so i went down there to check our trail cams and found that one of them had been ripped off the tree. We just cant get the kid to admit to it.

Hi all, after 26 years in retail, and catching 3 to 4 shoplifters a week, from 5 to 75.. One thing that every thief says is that they didn't think they were a thief. A judge's wife, with $200 in meat stuck inside an overcoat, said, "Please, don't call the police, I'm not really a thief.:: A THIEF IS A THIEF... That guy better get a grip.

Its pretty sad that you have to worry about leaving a camera in the woods because you got idiots like that out there. The consequences should have been worse.

I think he's already stolen the tree stand and is now stealing the trail cam. (He thinks!) Wish I had had a set up like that when some scumbag stole my feeder, Yep, the whole feeder, including the corn. I think this guy deserves a short rope and a stout limb.
