_Municipal Court Judge Gary Dumm sentenced Robert W. McCarley, of 16225 Commercial Point Road, to a $250 fine plus court costs, a suspended 30-day jail sentence, two years probation with no related wildlife violation, a 3-year hunting license revocation, and ordered him to write an apology letter to sportsmen.

_According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources-Division of Wildlife, McCarley, 47, reported to a deer check station that he killed the buck, which green scored 220, on Monday, Dec. 8 with a longbow on private property in Franklin County.

_State wildlife officers were later informed that the deer was taken legally, but on a pay to hunt preserve in northeast Ohio and that McCarley paid $12,500 for the deer and shot it with a rifle….

McCarley burned all of his deer mounts after being interviewed by officers.
