As we’ve reported, a special B&C world-record scoring panel has measured the King buck to determine once and for all if it deserves to topple Milo Hansen’s long-time mark. Late yesterday afternoon, the club announced that King’s giant Wisconsin buck fell short, earning a typical score of 180.

In a poll I posted last Thursday, nearly sixty percent of you felt it was right for B&C to convene the panel, and to, as one commenter put it, “Just score it…and end it all.” In the coverage leading up to the announcement, I said that some folks would cry foul no matter what the outcome. I wonder, however, how loud the cry will now be.
So I have two questions:
