Hogs 3 Hunters 2

Uploaded on January 30, 2010

We were out fixing stands scouting, etc and got 2 small hogs missed 3 others(hard to kill em all with a single shot bolt action .22/armadillo gun).
anybody else doing any hog hunting?
Got any "bait" ideas ?

Way to go BigO! That is pretty good for a .22 single shot. I am itching to hog hunt now that deer season is over. I may go tramp through a WMA or two just to see how things are looking out there.

Beleive it or not peanut butter works ( I don't know if they prefer chunky or smooth)

I've been wanting to hog hunt for years. None here in Ohio. It sounds like fun. Why a .22?

It was/is our "armadillo gun". Been trying to thin the lil buggers out so the cows don't break a leg ! On the farm we've been hunting.

If corn is banned just make a mash like Jack Daniels and pour it up.This sour mash works great for drawing in the swine.I say some sow in estrus at Academy a couple days ago.

Don't have too many hogs here in WI. Someone brought some up from TX and turned em loose in the south part of state. DNR has put out shoot on sight orders to all us hunters.

We found an awsome place in southern Texas and they are covered up in hogs. Great place to go in February when it is below zero in Michigan...it is 100 there.
We hunt with bows and this guy is set up perfectly for bow hunters. Great hunting, great food and great people.
If you tire of hunting hogs and want some real redneck fun...go after armadillos. OMG, what a blast.
Cancelled our trip for this year due to family illness but already looking forward to hext year.
