Use a black Jitterbug when he water's calm and it's pitch black out.

I really like using War Eagle Spinnerbaits or any spinnerbait with extra large blades, they produce a lot of vibration and really get the night time bass bite going.

Another great beat for night fishing is a soft plastic, such as a texas rigged worm or crawfish bait or a tube, it will make enough vibration or you can insert a rattle for extra noise to attract the bass.

With the Jitterbug, the bigger, the better. Try to find those XL/Musky Jitterbugs. Retrieve slow and steady, just enough to make it bubble. Pause for a second occasionally. Cast right up into boathouses, along docks, even onto stuff, dragging it into the water.

I have great success at night useing a Tiny Tapedo. Work it slow
and make very little waves. Bass hit it hard when it stops for a few secounds. Black Lizzards with blue tails are also boog around weedbeds

I night fish quite a bit in the summer months and always do well with big spinnerbaits dark colors with a big colorado blade.

I saw a good article on night bass fishing at http://bassfishing-forbeginners.blogspot.com/2010/05/night-bass-fishing....

Whatever your fishing, black lures siloutte better at night than light colors. You would think it would be opposite, but it isn't.

Like panfry said, use dark colors. When you see the surface at nite time, it looks silver or white because of the moon light. Bass see it the same way, so dark colors stick out. In the daytime, the water appears dark, so light colors stick out. Throw a black buzz bait right up along the shore where theyre bedding. I also like using hula poppers, devils horses, tiny torpedos and zara spooks.

I would go with a black popper frog it makes plenty of noise to get the bass going after. just fish it along weeds and let it set a little after a couple of pops thats when the bass usually take it.
