Largest Largemouth bass youve caught?

Uploaded on January 31, 2009

I know you love bragging about that huge lunker you hooked last summer. Now is your chance to brag to others and compare to everyone elses catch. Whats the biggest largemouth bass you've ever caught?

Where I live, large mouth are not native, so there aren't a lot of waters where they turn into monsters. My biggest weighed in at a little over five pounds.
However, there is an old boy that hangs out under the dock at a local lake that looks 10- 12 pounds. This summer, i have his number.

I forget the exact weight....i have it written down at home, but it was in the 5 pound range. Not bad for a largemouth in new england. Got it on a white frog soft plastic.

On June 6,1994 I caught an 18 lb 11 ounce bass at a near by impoundment about 3 weeks later on June 30, 1994 on a near by river I caught an 18 lb 3 ounce bass, both on 12 inch black culprit worms buzzed across heavy pads and grass.Through 2001 I caught and released 622 bass over 10 lbs.I haven't been able to fish these last 9 years but I'm looking foreward to starting back real soon.

My biggest Bass was 11LBS 5 oz, came on a largetopwater torpedo bait on Lake Okeechobee, I have caught several in the 8 to 11lb range and I relased all on that lake over the past 20 years I just can't break the 12lb mark.

On August 17, 2011, I caught a 7lb4oz. largemouth from a pond I ran up on and that very, very few people know about. Of course I mounted it because it was the biggest largemouth, by far, I'd ever landed! Well today, October 11, 2011, I hooked into one that pushed the 10lb mark and maybe even 11lb from the very same pond! I saw half the fish just before it threw my jig over my head because I forgot to check and adjust my drag like a fisherman is supposed to! I hooked both fish on a 1/2oz. black/blue jig with a black/blue Uncle Josh's pork trailer. I would've never have kept, and mounted, the 7 pounder if I'd known there were other 'HAWG'S' in there, because I'll definitely mount an 11 pounder lol! This bother's me because I always practice catch and release! ALWAYS!!!! This pond is in southeastern Kentucky and is around an acre! What make's this so odd is that it's only around 4 feet deep at it's deepest point! I would never have thought a largemouth could grow so large in such small surroundings, especially in a small pond! Anyone know?!?! I'm curious if anyone can email me at - kevinmedlock88@gmail.com!
