Caddis immatations...

Uploaded on January 22, 2009

What is a good WET caddis immatation, I know a lot of the dry flys, but i need some good nymphs. We have some MASSIVE hatches of caddis on our river, but we need to find some wet flys to use.

Alex,
go to your favorite streams, pick up some rocks, grab some caddis and start tying. Size, color and shape may vary from stream to stream. Tie what matches your river with the material that matches the color and hook that matches the size. When you are done you will have the "Alex Caddis".

mayfly pupae on a #18 larva hook. If you need some help with nymphing let me know, It's all I do. Catch ratio is great.

Tie a few basic soft-hackles and you will nail caddis feeding fish!! I like a peacock and starling soft-hackle.
