Last deer season was the first season I used a boat to get from my camp to my hunting area. Not even thinking about seeing deer as I motored into the area, I happened to catch a massive racked buck leap over the banking on shore. After doing some scouting, I noticed he had a scape line all along the shore for about a mile. The next few times I traveled by boat to this hunting area, I regularly saw flashes of deer on the shoreline. However, on land the mature monster buck was elusive and obviosly when it came to me and him on land, he had the advantage. I am thinking that this hunting season I devote a couple days to slowly prowling the shorelines with a canoe and possibly an electric motor. Does or has anyone ever hunted from a canoe before and had good luck? Obviosly the shot will be harder to make while shooting from a canoe, but this seems like a very good idea to catch this buck tending his scrapeline along the shore. Advise Please!
