Quick Tips
I'm anticipating shooting a turkey this spring and am wondering what some good wild turkey recipes are.

I like to take the breast and coat with flour then fry it ,take it out of the skillet and make a white gravy in the same skillet slice the turkey brest about 1/4 " thick and pour the gravy over the sliced breast meat.
cut into strips/ nuggets, marinate in italian dressing, say 40 minutes.. wrap with 1/2 strip bacon, tooth pick or kabob stick, grill. if using wooden toothpick/kabob, use water in a cup to marinate wood while doing the meat..prevents burning, use a little marindae as a baster as well. I like serving with hot sauce as a dip or plain!
Barbecued Wild Turkey :)
One stick (1/2 cup) margarine
1/2 cup chopped green onions or chives
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 Tbsp. thyme and savory, mixed
1 cup broth
3 Tbsp. parsley
Cut turkey into pieces across the grain. Cook onions until tender in butter, add other ingredients. Bring to a full boil. Cover each piece of turkey with this mixture. Baste often on grill. Cook 45 to 55 minutes or until done.
I like to take a turkey breast and wrap it in foil with bbque sauce and onion, place it on the grill for about 30 min., then take it out of the foil and place it on the grill to brown a little. Then eat
Fillet out the two sections of breast meat, pound it a bit, roll it in flour, and simply fry. Simple, yet hard to beat.
I like to slice the breast about 1/2 inch thick, pound the meat, sprinkle with salt and pepper and fry in butter. My wife says that is the best tasting meat from any wild animal and I tend to agree with her. I think anyone that trys this will be greatly pleased with the results.
