From the Wisconsin State-Journal:

_Soldiers won’t have a special deer hunting season in early February. But the state’s more than 3,000 returning troops will have the chance to hunt for deer causing crop damage between now and September, state legislators announced late today.

_The program will link landowners suffering crop damage from nuisance deer with Wisconsin soldiers returning from deployments. . . .

“This gives soldiers flexibility,” [state representative Chris] Danou said in a statement. “They can go out any day between now and September convenient for the veteran and the farmer.”
