So you think you’re tough? I bet you’ve got nothing on Prem Kumar. This fry cook from New Delhi, India, shuns the use of tongs while frying fish, opting instead for the tools he was born with to flip fish.

In this clip from Gulf News, Kumar demonstrates this circus-sideshow-like technique, which he says he learned by watching Dad. Apparently, over the years Kumar built up a tolerance (or, more likely, fried the feeling out of his fingers) and now regularly dips his hands in the boiling-hot oil. I’ve heard of restaurant gimmicks used to drum up business, but this takes it to a whole new level.
