Tip of the Day: Hook Frogs through the Leg to Catch More Fish

By Jerome B. Robinson

Try hooking a small frog through the skin of its hind leg, rather than its lips. Attach several split shot to the line, 2 feet from the frog, and cast it into deep water. The frog will attempt to swim to the surface each time the light weight pulls it down, and its struggles will attract bass and other large gamefish. -- Jerome B. Robinson

I bet that is deadly. Ill have to try this trick this summer. We will see if it out-fishes the deadly white frog soft plastic.

Wonder if leopard frogs are good to use? We have plenty of them but they're the hardest of all to catch.
