The Mobile, Alabama native has been doing it since 2014, working in pyrography to turn redfish, tarpon, marlin, flounder, and other fish into remarkably detailed works of art. He burns each one by hand onto live-edge slabs, river tables, and custom cutouts.

Tucker doesn’t catch these fish. He preserves them a different way.

The Italian hunter and exhibition shooter holds five world records, including breaking a clay target at 164 yards and assembling a shotgun before breaking a clay in 2.81 seconds.

This 32 pound canoe is skinned in ballistic nylon, a fabric developed during World War II for aircrew flak jackets.

Sheer Craft in St. Paul, Minnesota, teaches students to build 15 foot ultralight skin on frame canoes using steam bent green ash ribs, white pine and cedar, waxed twine, and ballistic nylon. The wooden frame gives the boat its shape while the nylon serves as the skin, sewn 6 inches undersized, soaked for 30 minutes to relax the fabric, then stretched tight over the gunwales and coated with flexible urethane.

Its builder bought the finished canoe after completing the course and is now paddling it on the city lakes around Minneapolis.

Geese are built to draft off eachother… Rosco found a bigger bird.

A while back, Lake Norfork fishing guide Chad Bleeker of Norfork Bayou Fishing was out with a buddy when a goose started following their boat. They named him Rosco, said goodbye, and headed for another spot. Rosco hitched a ride.

According to Bleeker, the goose took flight and drafted off the boat for 3.5 miles at a steady 30 mph, at one point getting close enough to touch in midair. When they finally reached shore, Rosco followed them there, too.
