My dad and I hunt out of a blind that's built pretty solid, and when one of us shoots, the report of the rifle is very loud. Is there any way we can keep from going deaf and still hear the noises of the woods around us?
You should each invest in a set of amplifier-equipped hearing protectors-the earmuff type. They're too bulky to wear while walking, but for use in a blind they're fine. Be sure to get the ones made for rifle, not shotgun, shooters.
