Gerald Almy
Contributing Writer
Gerald Almy graduated from college with absolutely no idea what he wanted to do. But he loved to hunt and fish; and he loved reading and loved literature. That led to the obvious choice: become a full-time freelance outdoor writer. That was 1973. He’s still one today, never having held a salaried position in half a century, but managing to support his wife and daughter with checks received for the 5,500 magazine and website articles and 9,000 newspaper columns he has had published.
