Deer harvest numbers in several states are down compared to this time last year. In Ohio archery deer are down eleven percent, while in Minnesota the deer harvest is down by a third.
In Missouri, the opening weekend harvest numbers are down almost nine percent, and in Montana the mid-season deer numbers are behind last year's.
Is this a trend we're seeing more of across the nation or is it an anomaly? How's the season going in your area? What factors do you think are affecting (for good or bad) your local deer harvest numbers?
