New Jersey bears have been a hot topic in the news lately. People are grappling over whether to spend money on non-lethal management methods, or to earn money in a tight economy with a bear hunting season. Tough call.

Today is no different. A NJ cable TV repairman found a bear sleeping in his basement. At least the seal from New Zealand made it to the couch.

From this story on NBC New York:_
A cable TV repairman had his very own Goldilocks moment Wednesday when he found a sleeping bear in the basement of a home in Hopatcong, New Jersey, NBC New York reported.

_The 500-pound bear was spotted in the neighborhood earlier in the week, according to the Associated Press, though it was unclear how it made its way into the house.

The repairman left the snoozing bear alone until Michael Madoni, a state conservation officer, arrived and shot it with a tranquilizer around 2:30 p.m, the New Jersey Herald reported. The bear was then moved to the Berkshire Valley Wildlife Management Area where it could be released back into the wild._
