If you live in Georgia and you love the intoxicating scent of fresh-squeezed lime mingled with freshly-burnt gunpowder, has Groupon got deal for you. A Georgia lawmaker, who also happens to own a shooting range, has paired up with a nearby Mexican restaurant on a can’t miss offer: A round of automatic weapons fire followed by a round of margaritas, all for the low, low price of $39. Get it while you can…

From this story in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
“State Rep. Sean Jerguson, R-Woodstock, owns Hi-Caliber, a firearms retail outlet and shooting range. The state lawmaker has paired with a Mexican restaurant in a can’t-miss Group On offer: $39 for a session with automatic weapons, an appetizer and margaritas for two. That’s an $87.68 value, people, including two 20-round boxes of ammunition. For all you enemies of the Second Amendment, safety can be found in the fine print: Limit 1 per person, may buy multiple as gifts. Must be 21 or older. Must redeem for gun rental before redeeming at Tacos & Beer Mexican Restaurant. Valid only for rental of M16 machine guns.”

I think that’s a new drink and drink name just waiting to happen. OK all you mixologists, how would you modify the standard margarita to commemorate this awesome combination and what would you call it? And does anyone think this is a bad idea, even if the shooting’s first and the drinking’s last?
