A Texas man recently caught the Lone Star State’s most coveted state record fish. No, not the largemouth bass–the large-a** goldfish.

From this story in Lone Star Outdoor News:

It would take quite the toilet to flush this goldfish. Metroplex angler John Wiseman was having a slow night fishing Lake Tawakoni when he brought in an unexpected catch.

According to the story, Wiseman’s unexpected catch was a 7.24 lb. goldfish, caught on a dough bait mixture of Big Red soda and Wheaties. Breakfast of Champions, indeed…
