This video from wjla.com of a dog attacking a deer in Washington, D.C.’s Rock Creek Park is apparently the end of a chase that involved several dogs running off-leash in the 2,800 acre park. As the video shows, the dog’s owner finally grabs it by the collar, ending the attack. The deer, reportedly bleeding, dragged itself onto the bank and later disappeared.

Rock Creek Park runs for over 30 miles though Washington D.C. and is home to lots of wildlife, including deer. Dogs are required to be leashed in the park and rangers ticket owners of unleashed dogs when they encounter them.
