We’ve seen it happen before, but I suppose nothing makes a better viral video than footage of a sailfish jumping into a boat while the crew promptly jumps overboard.

Crocodile Bay, a fishing resort in Costa Rica, posted this video late last month, but made a point in the description to say they practice sustainable, catch-and-release fishing for sailfish and marlin, and while the incident could have been worse for the fish, it was eventually safely released.

“Please exercise caution when fishing for billfish (sailfish & marlin) their bills are sharp and can be very dangerous. We do not promote jumping in the water with sailfish or taking sailfish or marlin OUT of the water and on to the boat. If you are going to photograph the fish, do so with the fish in the water”
