I have to say it was a monumental task digging through the slew of entries from our last caption contest. The woman in the photo is my wife sitting on a desolate beach near a salmon river in Alaska. Unfortunately for me, many of you thought she was a he. I’ve been “bearing” her wrath for putting it up for the past couple weeks now, but have been getting my jollies by redirecting her to your comments daily.
Out of the 239 comments there were quite a few laugh-out-loud captions and choosing was difficult, but in the end I had to give it to Capt. Koons who wrote, “Unfortunately, Jill Smith of Fishhead, Alaska wasted all her ammo writing in the dirt just before the grizzly appeared.”
Capt. Koons email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your shipping details and I’ll alert the good people at Korkers to ship you out a pair of their Korkers Guide Wading Boots.
