This past weekend I had the pleasure of spending two days on the Green river below Flaming Gorge Reservoir with some friends and writer Geoff Mueller. I’m shooting photos for Geoff’s underwater trout book and we thought it would be a great warm spring weekend with few crowds to utilize the gin clear waters of the river.

There were few crowds, but the weather could not have been worse for getting into 39 degree water. We had rain, snow, sleet, wind and thunder. It was trying, to say the least. Like most fishing road trips, it turned out all right though. I got to meet some new people, see some interesting stuff, and catch a few fish along the way. Plus the boys at Boulder Boat Works let us borrow one of thier new boats, The Convertible River Taxi, which was an excellent way to get down the river.
