width=333 Early in high school I learned how to tie flies. They were elementary at best, but I sold a few to my father, uncle, and friends. I didn’t make much money, but it helped me purchase better materials and tools down the line. Kevin Croteau, of Ramsey, Minn., however, is taking his passion for the outdoors to the masses. Kevin, 16, is a die hard turkey hunter. Two years ago, he started making his own lineup of turkey calls. Kevin says he’s already sold two calls at auctions—one for $150 and another for $100. What’s especially cool is he says he’s not concerned about money right now, he just wants to make good calls. He’s already making them out of exotic wood and other “unconventional” materials to get the shape and sound he wants to hear. If you see more of Kevin’s calls in the years to come—remember you heard it here first. —Ben
