Killer Weekend

width=500 Hey guys, It's been a while since I posted on the blog, but I've got some time before I hit the water today so I thought I'd fill you in on what I have planned for the weekend. Today, I'm fishing the Manhattan Cup with another editor at F&S. It's a striped bass and bluefish tournament in New York Harbor. You might not think that there's some killer fishing near the Statue of Liberty, but believe me there is. I caught this striper last year. It was right around 20 pounds and it was the third biggest bass of the tournament. The weather was pretty crummy last year, but it's supposed to be better today (KNOCK ON WOOD!) After the tournament, I'm headed upstate for the weekend. I'm going to turkey hunt in the mornings and flyfish for trout in the afternoons. Not a bad weekend, eh? Of course, I'll fill you all in on Monday morning. That is, unless I get skunked across the board. In that case, I'm gonna change my name, move to Arizona, and take up golf. You'll never hear from me again. OK. Maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration. I hope you guys all have killer weekends, too! —Colin
