I’m lucky to live close enough to my brother, sister, and parents that it’s always easy to find someone who’s up for a little adventure. And I’m sure I’m not alone. So far my “to do” list of particular summer events I’ve planned to do with friends/family should soak up some time in just about every week from here until the end of September. I saw this article posted from an Alaskan newspaper and, just like the archery parks, I think this is a great idea. If I could, I would add something like this to my list. I’ve never been to summer camp, but I know a lot of friends that have, and if they had something like this in these parts, I probably would have signed up. It may seem like a lot of time, but the next few months will fly by—I guarantee that. So much to do, so little time. Sure, there’s summer jobs, chores, and running around with friends to fill the long days, but what else are is in your plans? More fishing? More camping? (I know of at least one GW member who’s preparing for a heated family-fishing competition!) —Ben Romans
