When it came time to pick a yearbook quote during my senior year of high school, I submitted one from Jack Handey. Handey, many of you may recall, wrote the “Deep Thoughts” and “Fuzzy Memories” bits on Saturday Night Live in the 90s. I turned in “Contemplate world peace, and while you’re doing that I’ll be over here stealing your stuff.” Of course when I got a yearbook in my hand, the bigwigs chopped off the last part of the quote and made my final high school thought “Contemplate world peace.” I mention this because out of the blue a classic Jack Handey sketch just popped up on the Net and it’s about, of all things, fishing.
