Releasing Fish: Are You Doing It Correctly?

I know, I know… My first post on the new site and I’m already sounding like a poofta fly fisherman. I’ll admit I keep a few fish here and there, but for the most part I let them go to grow large and make babies. Heck, I’ve even dragged a tarpon around behind a boat for 30 minutes trying desperately to give her CPR. You know what? It worked.

One of our readers, JasonB linked this video from www.stripersforever.org yesterday and I had to post it. Every once and a while we need a little reminder on how it’s done correctly. Whether it’s stripers, catfish, carp or trout play nice if you’re not going to keep em.

Curious too, anyone ever had an extended CPR session with a fish? How’d it work out in the end?
